Every Last Breath Blog Tour: Character Interview with "the Boss Man" and Giveaway

Hello and welcome to today's tour stop for EVERY LAST BREATH hosted by Harlequin Teen! Please join me for a unique interview with "the Boss Man", one of the main characters from Jennifer L. Armentrout's The Dark Elements series.

Interview with the "Boss Man"

Hello there, and thank you for the interview.  Ahem...Do you prefer to be called the "Boss Man" or something else? (Looks into dictionary and sees alternate names - slams book shut!)

How about The Greatest Thing Alive?

I have to admit, I'm a bit nervous today about this interview. (Mumbles a few choice words in regards to the kind soul who put me in charge of this interview.)

You should be nervous.

As head honcho of the Pits of Hell, you must know that you have a very bad reputation. Can you please promise not to ignite me into a burning mass of flames, nor transfer me into the Netherworld, or any other unsavory harm if I ask a question/s you don't like??

I can’t be sure until I’ve heard the questions.

Okay then. Moving on. So, what can you tell us about yourself that may surprise us? Any strange quirks or habits? (Please, do not flame me!)

Maybe you’ll find out something surprising about me in Every Last Breath.

JLA is keeping your agenda under pretty tight wraps - want to share anything with us? (Rubs hands in anticipation of dark secrets revealed.)

I’m not giving away any of my secrets because that kind of defeats my purpose.

I think it’s safe to say you show some favoritism towards Roth, what’s that all about?

I am fond of Roth, but that’s not saying much coming from me.

If asked to describe you in a tweet, what do you think Roth would say?

Let’s go back to “The Boss Man is the Greatest Thing Alive”.  What else would there be for him to say?

And your reply would be?

“Agreed

You must know about the rumors circulating in regards to the love-triangle that has us all gaga over and swooning for our favorite guy in THE DARK ELEMENTS SERIES - any comments?

No, I don’t get myself all wrapped up in love-triangles.  I don’t have time for such trivial topics.  I’m in charge of Hell.  Or haven’t you heard?

Do you ever get jealous over all the attention Roth and Zayne get? What about Bambi - she's has a great fan base as well?

I’d have no reason to be jealous of Roth or Zayne or even Bambi.  It’s obvious you haven’t met me or you’d completely understand that I don’t view any of them as competition.

Your realm seems pretty hot and miserable. (Ever smell sulfur?) You must get tired of all the heat - for vacation time, where do you like to go and take time off to get away from it all?

Hell doesn’t bother me.  I rather enjoy it most of the time.

Can you please give us three of your favorite tunes that represent you! (I bet he's going to say one of them is Highway to Hell for sure!)

I guess if we’re going with the Hell theme then it’s Hotter Than Hell, Hell On Wheels and Burn In Hell.

When rolling topside - what's your vehicle of choice?

Something fast, expensive and usually stolen just to keep it interesting.

Your favorite "Dude Flick" to watch is? And your favorite "Chick Flick" to watch?

There aren’t a lot of movie choices in Hell.  Even if I could watch a “Dude Flick” or a “Chick Flick”, I’d probably just prefer to watch someone being tortured in the fiery pits for entertainment.

Name an item you like to carry around with you at all times?

A pitchfork?  And you didn’t think I had a sense of humor…

What is your biggest pet-peeve?

It’s too long a list for this interview.

You’re a pushover for?

Nothing.

If you could switch jobs with anyone (of the human variety) for a day, what would you like to do?

I wouldn’t switch jobs with anyone because there’s no one I trust to do my job for me.

If you had a choice to be stuck in an endless line at the DMV with your favorite sports playing in the background or stuck on a deserted island (no super-powers to cheat) with only an endless supply of 80's historical romances (all featuring Fabio on the cover) to keep you company - which one would you choose?

I guess I would go with the deserted island but only because I don’t wait in line.

Now, quickly before JLA catches on - Did you secretly plan for this epic battle between our boy Roth and Zayne to get some attention thrown your way? It's okay, I can keep a secret...really.

No, Roth and Zayne got themselves into their own mess with Layla.  Can’t say that I understand it because I don’t.

Thank you, "Boss Man" for this very interesting interview!

Some loves will last ’til your dying breath

Every choice has consequences—but seventeen-year-old Layla faces tougher choices than most. Light or darkness. Wickedly sexy demon prince Roth, or Zayne, the gorgeous, protective Warden she never thought could be hers. Hardest of all, Layla has to decide which side of herself to trust.

Layla has a new problem, too. A Lilin—the deadliest of demons—has been unleashed, wreaking havoc on those around her…including her best friend. To keep Sam from a fate much, much worse than death, Layla must strike a deal with the enemy while saving her city—and her race—from destruction.

Torn between two worlds and two different boys, Layla has no certainties, least of all survival, especially when an old bargain comes back to haunt them all. But sometimes, when secrets are everywhere and the truth seems unknowable, you have to listen to your heart, pick a side—and then fight like hell.
