At the heart of the story is the captive vs captor, master vs slave tale, yet it is more complicated than that. There is the fantasy element of the jinn, the revolution happening in their home world, a romance blooming between Nalia and a sworn enemy of her people, a magical artifact of untold powers and an unknown villain whom cast danger and threatens our heroine beyond her captor.
